ROAMSTER TRUCK CAMPER
Install guide
Watch our 4K installation guide below or follow the written instructions for step-by-step guidance.
Installation Instructions
- Unbox all included tools, hardware, gaskets, etc., and organize them for easy access.
- Install the included gasket on the side panels where the four bolts will go through or where the rivnuts are installed. Either side is fine.**You can install the gasket as is and poke holes in it, or cut it into two pieces and install it as shown in the video.
- Attach the side cap panels. Once the gasket is in place, grab a side cap panel and mount it to the front cap panel by screwing in the four bolts through the corner of the panel into the threaded rivnuts. Keep these somewhat loose and do not fully tighten them yet.
- Align the corner gusset bracket. Grab the corresponding corner gusset bracket and ensure all the bolts align correctly. If they do not, adjust the cap and place a shim under either panel to hold it in the correct position.
- Secure the cap pieces. Once all bolts are properly aligned, remove the corner gusset and tighten the four bolts to secure the cap pieces.
- Install the corner gusset. Screw in the eight bolts through the outside of the cap into the threaded rivnuts on the gussets. Secure the bolts snugly.
**We recommend using blue Loctite to prevent the bolts from coming loose (not shown in the video). - Repeat this process for the remaining three corners of the cap.
- Install the included gasket around the top edges of the camper.
- Install the tent or cap top. Once the cap is fully assembled, it’s time to install either the tent or the cap top.
**The process is the same for both, but this video demonstrates the tent installation. - Elevate the tent by placing it on sawhorses or another support that provides access to the bottom.
- Insert the bolts into the T-track on the bottom of the tent.
- Align the tent bolts with the corresponding holes on the cap.
- Lower one end of the tent onto the cap, aligning as many bolts as possible. Repeat for the other side.
- Apply anti-seize to the bolts, then securely install the nylon locking nuts. Your camper is now ready to be installed onto your truck!
- Mount the camper to your truck. Place the camper on the truck bed rails and properly align it. Once aligned, install the included mounting hardware.
